Amid the ongoing ASUU strike which has delayed the academic activities in most university in Nigeria, The Bayelsa State director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Prince Doodie Week and some of his team has kick started the construction of a 500 hostel bed space at the Niger Delta University Wilberforce Island Bayelsa and will also provide a 1000Kva generator and solar street lights for the university.
The vice chancellor of the institution Prof. Samuel Gowon Edoumiekumo who was pleased to have received the director and his team promised that moving forward, more works will be done to ensure that the university has the necessary facilities, equipment and personnel that will enable students of the university grow vigorously.
