Residents of Agbede, Ita oluwo, Ajegunle and orimedu can now sigh a sense of relief as the deplorable road that links the community had received attention from the appropriate authority. Rep. Babajimi Benson has flagged off the construction of a 7.5 km road from Agbede to Ita Oluwo, spanning across Agbede, Ajegunle, and Orimedu. This project aims to improve infrastructure and connectivity in the area, benefiting residents and fostering economic growth.
The road project will connect Agbede to Ita Oluwo, passing through Ajegunle and Orimedu, and linking Lagos to Ogun State. It’s expected to be completed in six months, with double contractors deployed to fast-track the process.
As part of the initiative, an apology was offered by Babajimi Benson for the long period of suffering and neglect in the area. The government acknowledged the hardships faced by the residents and pledged to make amends through this infrastructure development.

Rep Benson explained that the project will bridge 80 Community Development Areas across two Local Government Areas, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West, enhancing opportunities and connectivity for residents.
The community has also welcomed this initiative, with leaders and residents expressing gratitude to Rep. Benson and President Tinubu for their efforts in delivering this long-awaited project.

Rep. Benson further thanked the people of Agbede and Ita Oluwo for their unwavering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the flag-off ceremony. He encouraged them to further demonstrate their commitment by ensuring all eligible voters obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
In return, he assured the community that additional development projects would be brought to the constituency, highlighting the President’s commitment to Ikorodu Federal Constituency. By supporting the APC, Rep. Benson emphasized that the community would continue to benefit from meaningful initiatives and projects.
The event had 9 Baales of the area among whom were Bale Fadeyi -ita Oluwo, Olosugbajugunl, orimedu-Orimedu odo ona. I addition there were Community leaders Iyaloja and CDC Chairman

Ajegunle among others as well as Kabiyesi Olumushin ably represented.
