Rivers United will be presented with the Nigeria Professional Football League trophy after their last game of the season with Gombe United on Sunday, July 17 2022.
The Port Harcourt-based side were confirmed as champions on June 26 following Plateau United’s defeat at the hands of Akwa United and are on course to lift their first Nigerian Professional Football League trophy, the first in the club’s history.
The League Management Company, organizers of the Nigerian Professional Football League, usually presents the trophy following the champions’ final home game, where possible and this presentation will be done this Sunday’s after the matchday 38 clash against Gombe United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
The Pride of Rivers may have already been named this season’s champions but they can still set a number of records this season depending on their result in the final game.
