Media entrepreneurship, thought leadership and Niche Building workshop organized by Africa Foundation For Young Media Professionals to develop young media business entrepreneurs across Nigeria is to be led by Mr. Babajide Otitoju of TVC news Home Mews Editor.
Mr. Babajide Otitoju, a veteran journalist and Public Affairs Analyst, who is a vocal and very renowned broadcast Journalist across Nigeria while speaking with Yinka Olaito, Executive Director of Africa Foundation For Young Media Professionals asserted this is his passion and a desire to see the next generation of media practitioners becoming better than the present.
The Media Entrepreneurship, thought leaderships and Niche Building Workshop is one of the multi-level media projects Africa Foundation For Young media professionals will be running this year as part of its determination to see positive changes in media industry narrative across Africa.
Participants of the programmes, 30 in all, were carefully selected from Media and communications Students across the six geopolitical zones after a keen as well as competitive process. Many of the selected participants are already doing something with their lives in term of online media business ownership or are currently writing, interning with premium Television, Newspapers or online print media.
Other experienced faculty members for this project are Dr Suraj of University of Lagos, Mr Lekan Otufodunrin- Executive Director MCDN. Mt Taiwo Obe of Journalists Clinics, Ms Amaka Okoye of DW West Africa, Mrs Abimbola Bello-Lagos Television, Chris Ferguson, Dr Rachel Onah, Dr Hannah Anah and Klem Ofoukwu.
Media Entrepreneurship, thought Leadership and Niche Building workshop will both hold in Lagos and Portharcourt Nigeria.
The workshop/programme is supported by Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism and MacArthur Foundation Africa, Nigeria Office.
